  • According to the Income Tax Act of 1961, fair market value is the price you can get for selling an asset in the open market on a certain date. It is either equal to the purchase price of the property or the current selling price of the property in the open market (whichever of the two is higher)

  • At Indiassetz we follow 2 approaches while valuing a property first is desktop valuation- done by our In-house team and the other -is done by our experienced empanelled registered valuers. Both approaches have proven to be credible. According to further research on valuation services, our team observed differences in valuation only on agricultural and open lands and buildings that are constructed outside municipal limits all due to unorganised data sources.

  • There is no law that says you should have your property appraised by a professional before you sell/buy it. This is more of a preventative measure to keep us safe in the future. Customers often use professional help in real estate valuation, and in dealing with issues related to income tax. The same is done before the lease, bank guarantees, auction, stamp duty, acquisition by authorities, preparation of a will, use of housing loans, division of property, etc.
